5 of the best cafes in Berlin

Sometimes you do not want a full meal, but instead just want some coffee and a place to sit down and relax. To that end, here are the best coffee bars to stop in while you are in Berlin. First on your list should be the Balzac which is outside of the U-Bahn stop and a great place to read and grab reasonably priced coffee as well as their well-known banana bread.

As always, there is a Starbucks in Mitte and in many different areas of the town where you can head if you want something familiar, and the menu is standard enough to find what you want. Of course, half the fun of travel is getting out and about which is why you will also want to consider Manolo outside of the Eberswalder Strabe station where you can find some great elaborate coffee, wonderful pie, and even some bread and salad.

Those who want a trendier place may want to try out the Pony Bar which is a bar café that offers some great hot chocolate, coffee, and the ability to have shots added into your caffeine fix. Priced for a budget buyer, you can also find some great bread to nibble on.  Finally, for those concerned about the budget you will want to try out the Dachkammer which offers a smokers room, some wine, and other great bites for a great price.
