You may have thought you have experienced every kind of market, but those in Manila are really something else. Quiapo district is one of the best areas to head for to pick up some real bargains and food. Also referred to as Old  Downtown, there are numerous market stalls which offer products made of cane, handmade items and exquisite lamps and shades that have been lovingly crafted by hand from shells.

A must see in the Divisoria night market, one of the oldest in Manila and intended to also be the cheapest. If you love haggling over prices you will be in your element here, and can walk away with numerous bargains. It is well known for selling very cheap goods that have been imported from China, as well as footwear, items of home décor and good quality fabrics.
