BA strike negotiations on hold

It has recently been announced that talks between BA and union leaders have come to a halt following intense negotiations and hostile threats of industrial action

Talks came to a halt today between BA chiefs and union leaders, as threats from further cabin crew strikes mount. It is now the fourth day of BA cabin crew strikes with around 250 flights cancelled coming in and out of London Heathrow airport.

The latest talks on Wednesday are thought to have lasted approximately six hours, with BA chiefs eager to get cabin crew back on flights and to prevent further disruption for passengers.

This hs been a difficult time for BA considering how frequently cabin and ground crew have gone on strike over the last 18 months. The British airline, like many in Europe has been struggling additionally with flight cancellations due to volcanic ash spreading over Europe.

More information will be revealed on Friday once talks continue.
