Earthquake felt by Mexico and the US
The United States and Mexico experience 7.2 magnitude earthquake
On Sunday evening the United States and Mexico was hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
It has been estimated by a geological survey that the magnitude of the earthquake would have been felt by approximately 2o million people. It is also expected that after shocks will be felt over a considerable area for further several days to come.
Casualties so far have only been reported in Mexico in the city of Mexicali where one man died as his house collapsed due to the force of the earthquake. A state of emergency has been called in the city and residents have been warned of the risks of potential damage in further days due to after shocks.
